The SMC Student Council would like to welcome you to Swiss Management Center.
You are now about to begin a challenging journey, affording you the opportunity to increase your knowledge and understanding of the principle fields of business, economics and politics, whilst interacting within a diverse cultural environment. The unique distance learning platform at SMC allows students from around the world to come together to share the opportunity for personal growth and development.
The decision to begin a graduate or doctoral program of study is a serious one. Both the graduate and doctoral programs are demanding and the workload can be daunting. The programs will challenge you both on a mental and physical level and will change the way that you look at your profession, personal life and the world around you. At the SMC, you will meet new friends, developing potentially long-lasting relationships with fellow students and faculty staff, long after your studies are completed. This is a truly wonderful opportunity.
Like all endeavors in life, you get out of it what you put in and so we at the SMC Student Council challenge each one of you to put the very most of yourself into your studies, both academically and personally, so that your experience at SMC and the personal stamp that you leave on the institution will be long-lasting.
An institution of learning is nothing in itself without the people who make up the culture and environment that support it. By becoming a member of the SMC Student Council, you automatically gain the ability to support the larger SMC community with your ideas, knowledge and energy. We all have the ability to shape the SMC experience for the better!
We look forward to the coming academic year. The SMC Student Council is planning many new initiatives that will develop and broaden the depth of experience for all distance learning students at SMC.
