The student council on the initiative of Bruno Wicki would like to coordinate along with the SMC administration a symposium for the summer of 2008.
It is envisioned that the symposium would be held near Vevey and would include: students, administrators, professors and outside invitees. Probable duration of the symposium would be between 1 and 2 days leaving time for visitors to see the surrounding area.
The topic of interest would be either Austrian Economics or major management issues that are presently popular. Perhaps a conference on management strategy !!!! Otherwise, we could look at several topics in a revolving manner split through the day. For instance, two 2 hour round tables in the morning and 1 in the afternoon on differing topics.
Also, there is the possibility of having a Dissertation module for Doctoral student to review some of the important aspect of completing the thesis work.
Just some ideas. Please provide your thoughts and visit the discussion board on the SMC platform as there is a poll where you can indicate your interest in attending. This is important so that we can know the interest level for planning purposes.
